Review: An issue with this map is the color scheme. The colors are too closely related (pink and red), and it makes it hard on the eye to distinguish the two after viewing the map for a while. The font is also red, and hard on the eye. The legend is too small, and I find myself straining to read it. Also, there is not enough info directly given to the reader. If you want to know what year the data is from, you have to look to the small font of the sources. It is very broad in its location of military bases. The whole country is shaded in, rather than using a symbol as to where each base is. Some maps have too much information, while others such as this one, not enough. Both will make a reader just glance at the map and not really gather anything from it. It doesn't really catch my interest.
